FAQ

From our customers...

'...I am writing to advise that I am quite amazed that this device works! I have been experiencing night sweats for almost ten years and have bought all kinds of bedding and night clothes with little relief. I have many fans, ceiling fans, big fans, little fans, all kinds of things but nothing keeps me dry during the night like the Bedfan- even at its lowest setting its enough to keep me dry...

Thanks so much.

Bedfan Set up

The Bedfan Cooling system will come with the following parts.

  • The Bedfan Cooling System main body is where the fans are housed. This is the part that is standing on the bed in the image below. The Bedfan is capable of moving up to 100 Cubic Feet of air each minute. This unit is designed for an extremely long service life.

  • The Breeze Bar (the bar with the two long arms attached to it and laying on the bed in the image below) is a fully adjustable flexible bar that allows for air to flow from the fan body to the top of the mattress and between your sheets. (talk about sleeping cool) The flexibility is there just in case someone happens to sit on the bar.  The very top of the bar need only be about 1/2 inch above the top of your mattresses.

  • The Power adapter and Speed Controller have been customer engineered so that you can have full control and flexibility to find your comfort zone. The speed controller is designed so that you can place it directly under your pillow for easy access when you need to adjust the air flow.  The speed controller on the Bedfan cooling system is more like a volume controller on a radio, in that you can have it all the way off, all the way on, or anywhere in-between. In other words there are no preset speeds, you are in full  control.

  • The Bedfan cooling system tall bead bracket is not required on every installation. If you find that the top of the cooling system body is not above the bottom of your mattress, then you may employ this bracket to raise the body to the needed height. It is simple to attach and requires no tools. The bracket can be removed easily for traveling or transferring the system to another bed.

  • Sheet Blocks ( pictured next to the bracket) may be used to help hold the sheets in around the Bedfan body. The simplest way to use the blocks is after you have positioned the system along the bed, you will drape your sheets over the top of the breeze bar while you make your bed. When you drop the sheet over the top of the system you simply push the block in between your mattress and box spring, while doing this the sheet will be drawn in and cause the system to be air tight.

The Bedfan before installation

After your Bedfan installation you should have something that looks like the next picture. This is a tall bed with a foot board, so we needed to use the bracket on this installation to raise the fan to the proper height. Notice how you can hardly see the system once installed.

The Bedfan after installation

In this next picture you will see where the Bedfan speed controller will be located. Typically it will be under your pillow at night but for demonstration purposes we left it visible.

The Controller after installation

These are the three simple steps to installing the Bedfan Cooling System. If you have any questions please contact us and we will be happy to answer what ever you need.

1...

  • Remove your top sheet, leaving the bottom, fitted sheet, in place.

  • Position the Bedfan anywhere against the foot of your bed.(your side, their  side, in the middle)

  • If you have a footboard, just slide it underneath your bed and pull it up between the footboard and your mattress.

2...

  • Attach the Bedfan cooling system breeze bar so that it is at least an 1/2 inch above the top of your mattress. This will create a channel for the air to travel. By using the flexible arms we can keep the bar from breaking when someone accidentally sits on top of the fan.

3...

  • Once the Bedfan  cooling system is in place, replace the sheets on your bed so that it covers the breeze bar and part of the Bedfan cooling system.

  • You should then tuck the overlapping sheets between your mattress and box spring.

  • Place you comforter back on the bed.

  • Enjoy a nice, cool, deep sleep !

How the Bedfan cooling system works.

As you settle into bed, your body generates heat that gets trapped under the covers. This leaves you feeling warm, irritated and very uncomfortable all night long.

The Bedfan cooling system eliminates the body heat that gets trapped under the covers and keeps your bed at a cool, comfortable temperature.

The cool breeze starts at the foot of the bed, moves along the sides of your body and surrounds you body and neck. Instant cool relief from night sweats and hot flashes throughout the night!

Ceiling fans and most other types of fans blow both hot and cool air around the room. The Bedfan removes the hot air while the cool breeze surrounds your entire body for a cool night’s rest.
